Suicide blast in Manchester Arena – 22 people killed among children
22 people have been killed in a suicide bomber attack in Manchester. The explosion tore the fans and leave the Ariana Grande pop concert scattered nuts and bolts.
On Monday night, at least 59 people were injured other than the casualties at the Manchester Arena. The suicide bomber used an improvised device in the blast. The detectives are seeking, whether the attacker alone thrown the blast or part of a wider terror network. Everything was scattered across the floor of the Manchester Arena.
Since the July 2005 suicide attack, this is the worst attack of terrorists in Britain. Almost 12 years ago, a suicide bomber attacked Central London that killed 53 people. Manchester attack was reported by Police at 10:33 pm, when the US singer Grande finished her performance. After the concert, thousands of people streamed out of the Arena, when this terrorist activity occurred.
After the blast in Manchester, more than 240 calls were made for the ambulances to get emergency services. To handle the situation, more than 400 police officers were also deployed on the place of the blast and surrounding areas.
The situation could be worsened and the death toll could rise in the future.This has been the most horrific incident according to the Greater Manchester Police. There were families and young people, who were out to enjoy the concert, but they lost their lives.
UK Prime Minister Theresa May chaired an emergency meeting in the early hours of Tuesday. In the wake of terror attack, the General Election campaign has been suspended. To gather the evidence, a large cordon remains in place. This is around the concert place/arena, nearby Manchester Victoria Station.
Emergency landline numbers are also passed to the people, who have concerns over their loved ones. Police have appealed to the witnesses and concert-goers to provide footage, if they believe it can assist.
