London attack – Six killed, at least 50 injured
In a third terrorist attack in less than three months, six people have been killed on the spot. In the terrorist attack, almost 50 people were also injured in central London. Three terrorists attacked the London Bridge and Borough Market. All of them were killed by the London police.
According to the official reports, a white transit van ploughed into a crowd on the London bridge. This attack was reported after 10 pm. All the three attackers then used 12-inch knives and stabbed people nearby Borough Market. A transport police officer was among the injured people.
Earlier, it was reported that at least 48 people had been taken to the hospitals through the London Ambulance Service. A number of injured people were also treated at the scene of attack. The incident is declared as the terrorist incidents by the Metropolitan Police.
After the attack, an emergency broke over the capital of UK. Pictures from the area of attack show that the police told people to avoid the area. A large area of the River Thames south bank remained cordoned off by the police. This leave travelers and tourists struggling to get home.
Within minutes after the transit van ploughed into a crowd, there are reports of a second incident at the Borough Market. One of the attackers ran through the market stabbing people, including a young girl. Around 11pm, police entered the restaurants and bars and told the customers to get down on the floor. There were reports that the incident was still ongoing at 11pm. Shortly, police said that they are attending the third area in Vauxhall area. Later on, police said that it was not connected to these 2 attacks.
