Jemima finds the bank statement to prove Imran Khan innocence
Jemima Goldsmith tracked down the 15 years old bank statement, to prove the innocence of her ex-husband and PTI chairman Imran Khan. She assured Imran to provide the record of the transactions and also approached the Lloyds bank in this regard.
According to the reports, PTI chairman called his ex-wife Jemima on Wednesday. He asked her to provide the record of the money, which is a proof in the purchase of his Bani Gala residence. In a tweet, she said that she finally tracked down the bank statement to prove Khan’s innocence.
On Tuesday, The Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered Imran Khan to furnish the bank statement within a week. This information is required to prove the trail of money for Bani Gala property purchase. Court also asked a detailed information about Khan’s offshore company money trail and this bank statement could help him in the court’s proceeding.
A petition of PML (N) leader Hanif Abbasi requested the apex court to direct PTI chairman Imran Khan to produce his account statement of company Niazi Services Limited. Court required the statement from the opening to the present date. To confirm the authenticity and reliability of documents, court also ordered these documents to the record of the Citibank accounts.
Abbasi contended that PTI chairman Imran Khan counsel had disclosed that the loan for the purchase of his London flat was paid back to his ex-wife Jemima. He stated that all the procedure was taken place from the Niazi Services Limited account by a cheque for GBP 562,415.54.
At the outset of the SC proceeding, the chief justice ordered Imran Khan that he had taken the loan from his ex-wife. Khan’s counsel Naeem Bukhari informed the court that Jemima has been contacted to produce the complete record, leading to the purchase of Bani Gala property.
